To mark our official 50th release as a music collective and record label we have a brand new EP from GRN+GLD head honcho himself, Dirty Merlin. This one is entitled "137 137 137". This set of 3 distinctly West-Coast Garage tracks explores the thrills of a mind rapidly descending into madness. Composed in the era between the release of Dirty Merlin's first and second LP's, "Perfect Princess" and "Post Perfect", we get a small glimpse of the transition period of a man on the brink of disillusionment. These tunes were previously only experienced being performed around the city of Long Beach circa 2016-2017 and until now had never been heard outside of a live performance setting. Light and dark are woven back and forth into a simultaneously pleasing and unsettling listening experience. Album centerpiece, '137 20XX V2,' intermingles optimistic vibraphones with nauseating synth arpeggios, all before plunging head-forth into an Industrial infused hell-hole. Buckle up, hold onto your headrest, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
50 releases in and still many more planned for this year. Thanks for the support and stay tuned.
