Following hot on the heels of his last LP 'Post Perfect' for Dark Magnet Records, GG030 marks Dirty Merlin's sixth release via GRN+GLD.

'Jesus Slapchop Christ 3' arrives as the mysterious second/third sequel to GG024's 'Jesus Slapchop Christ.' Clocking in at just about 25 minutes, 'JSC 3' is a sampled based excursion into the dust-laden mind of the one that calls themselves Dirty Merlin.

Just like its predecessor, this album was composed entirely on Dirty's trusty sampler, the Roland MV-8000. While both 'JSC' expeditions are largely comprised of short looping vignettes, 'JSC 3' has 4 songs surpassing the 3 minute length, whereas 'JSC1' only had one. Once again, we see Dirty Merlin drunkenly careening across the map of genres he has explored in his previous efforts. Hints of 160bpm genres, swinging uk garage, chopped and screwed sludge, and instrumental hip-hop are equally scattered throughout, whetting our collective appetites for what is next from GRN+GLD's founding member.

Stand out tracks include the frantic but luscious footwork-jungle exercise seen in the heartfelt dedication aptly titled "For My People," the psychedelic, droning, vapor-doom-fest that is "Crud Mountain Blues," and "Redeye" which nearly perfectly encapsulates the not forgotten sounds of vintage Dirty Merlin circa 2013.

Sit down, go for a walk, hide from the rain, or embrace the sunshine, Dirty Merlin's 'Jesus Slapchop Christ 3' will be a loyal companion.
